We left the comforts of the Swala Tented camp around 9am this morning.
The elephants were outside to see us off (see the first picture) and the
breakfast was wonderful as usual. The start of today was a 150 kilometers drive to get to Lake Manyara. Some shots from the road as we traveled are included below. Lake Manyara allowed us to see more baboons, warthogs, monkeys, more birds, and even a mongoose. We spent the night in the Serena Lodge here, which had actual rooms instead of being a tented establishment. This also meant it was a lot less personalized. The long days are starting to kick in, and we are collapsing after dinner in the evening.
